About Us

The Department of Persian established in 1962, is one of the oldest departments of the University and it has the honour of having distinctive achievements in the field of Teaching, Research and Publications. As an acknowledgement, the Department was declared as the Centre of Excellence in 2010 under DSA, SAP-I of UGC. In addition to Post Graduation and Doctorate in Persian, the Department offers Diploma and Certificate Courses in Modern Spoken Persian. A good number of students have completed their courses and many of them have been able to get jobs in public and private sectors. The Departme
